ABOUT us
As in the fairytale of ‘Trnoružica’ (eng. Sleeping Beauty) the sleeping beauty is this small village of Mikuličići which for decades has been overgrown with thorns and ivy. With all its symbols and metaphors Trnoružica is also a family-run business guiding village of Mikuličići through the process of awakening from a long and deep sleep.
Starring as the fairytale heroes, you will find us, Mirna and Neven – a couple in our thirties, who decided to plant our roots here and live with this village, to be a part of its awakening, the renaissance, and to cherishing all that countryside life all can be.
With time we have become intertwined with the village and our devotion is poured in every detail.
In living with natural cycles and seasonal flow we are taking care of the forest, garden with vegetables and fruits and the olive garden.

The village and Trnoružica share the effort towards more sustainable and self-efficient living.

Indoor and outdoor areas are dedicated to philosophy of non-harmful and non-toxic ways of handling the water, grounds (soil, fruits, garden, olive trees) and everything else that is at your and nature’s disposal.
